Rep. Dale Strong (R-Huntsville) believes President Joe Biden is a hypocrite for erecting a fence around the Capitol for security during Thursday night's State of the Union address.
according to fox newsSecurity officials began installing a 12-foot-tall steel lattice fence around the immediate perimeter of the Capitol Wednesday night, continuing a trend that began after the Jan. 6, 2020, Capitol riot.
Strong posted a video on his social media pointing out the new fence. He also criticized the president for not intending to build a wall on the southern border, but that he is putting up a barrier to protect himself.
“Isn't this incredible?” Strong asked in the video. “President Biden will not close the southern border. He doesn't believe in a fence, but look what he has in store for tomorrow night's State of the Union address here on Independence Avenue. A 12-foot fence to protect him during the State of the Union address. America deserves better.”

Strong has been a vocal critic of Biden's immigration policies. On Thursday, he praised the House's passage of the Laken Riley Act, saying it would “ensure the Biden administration holds immigrants arrested for theft in the same way as the perpetrators of her death.”
Last month's murder of UGA student Laken Riley by an illegal alien was horrifying.

Republicans are also planning another way to use the State of the Union address to highlight Biden's failures at the southern border. House Speaker Mike Johnson invited Tammy Nobles, the mother of Kayla Hamilton, a young woman killed by an illegal immigrant in 2022.
Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) will no doubt raise the issue of immigration, as well as provide a Republican response to Biden's speech.
