Rumors circulated last night, including a report that Oregon head coach Dan Lanning said, Already in Tuscaloosa To interview with University of Alabama Athletic Director Greg Byrne.

Apparently, this was never accurate.Josh Pate CBS Sports It was posted Thursday morning at 9:33 a.m. Central Time and says Lanning was not in Tuscaloosa at all this week.

Lanning liked the tweet from her personal account.

More interestingly, running opposed the tweet Just a few minutes later.

Given that profile likes on Twitter/X are public, any user would know that Lanning had been liking the tweet for a period of time.

This can be interpreted in a few different ways and doesn't necessarily say anything about whether Lanning will be hired for the job. But at least it disproves reports that he was already in Tuscaloosa.
