Daughter, 33-years-old, in jail after stabbing mother and father south of Sedona

A woman is in jail after stabbing her father and mother multiple times in the village of Oak Creek south of Sedona, leaving both of them hospitalized.

The woman, identified as 33-year-old Lauren Levinson, was taken into custody after police found her standing outside the home where the stabbing occurred.

Police responded to the home on Coffee Pot Rock Road around 5:30 a.m. and found the two victims inside a short time later, according to the release.

The mother suffered severe stab wounds to her back and was taken by helicopter to a trauma center.

Levinson's brother, who was at the scene after one of the parents called for help, helped police wrap his mother's torso to protect her lung function, according to the release.

Levinson's father suffered multiple stab wounds to his arm and was taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment.

There are no updates on the condition of either victim.

The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
