Dave Navarro Files Assault and Battery Lawsuit Against His Jane’s Addiction Bandmate

Dave Navarro Files Lawsuit Against Perry Farrell

On Wednesday, Dave Navarro filed a lawsuit against Perry Farrell, accusing him of assault and battery, and is requesting at least $10 million in damages.

Navarro’s bandmates, Eric Avery and Stephen Perkins, are also part of the lawsuit. Reports suggest that the disputes are disrupting the band’s North American tour and delaying their upcoming album release.

A video surfaced showing Navarro and Farrell in a confrontation on stage, pushing each other while shocked fans looked on. Navarro alleges that the clash escalated, with Farrell landing a punch, fueled by anger and a struggle for control.

According to Navarro, the altercation led to the cancellation of Jane’s Addiction’s 15th scheduled show and has caused him significant financial losses. Farrell’s wife, Etty, mentioned that she consulted both a neurologist and an ear, nose, and throat specialist following the incident.

Navarro described the confrontation as particularly traumatic, recalling his own violent experiences from childhood. He claimed that Farrell has threatened to leave the band multiple times, escalating tensions within the group. While Navarro is pursuing charges related to assault and battery, Avery and Perkins are alleging emotional distress, negligence, and breach of contract among other claims.
