Determining the brand of your car can be difficult. When I grew up in his small Texas town in the 1970s, it wasn't that bad. The cars were Dodges, Fords, Chevrolets, and the occasional Lincoln, Chrysler, and Cadillac, but not much else.
I'll never forget when a local CPA bought a brown Toyota. It looked like something from another planet in our town. And don't even ask me about the time a local millionaire drove around town in a new Rolls-Royce — talk about scandal.
But things are different now. Today, the streets of every city on earth are occupied by a vast number of car brands manufactured by dozens of car manufacturers, and with a few exceptions, it is difficult to distinguish one brand from another. This can be a big challenge. (Related: David Blackmon: Left-wing billionaires have new plans for fossil fuel wars)
One of those exceptions, of course, is Tesla. I mean, who at this point doesn't immediately recognize a Tesla when they see one? Tesla seems to have to be the most easily recognized brand in the Western world. Especially for climate alarmists who spend every waking moment shivering in brainwashed hysteria that the world is about to burn in a scorching hellhole at 1.5 degrees Celsius. Temperature rise.
But apparently the climate change hysteria isn't as bright as we think. BBC report This week, a group of protesters recently deflated the tires of a man's car and left a flyer on the windshield scolding him for destroying the planet with his gas-guzzling car.
The flyer begins, “CAUTION: Guzzlers are deadly,” and then notifies owners, “One or more of your tires has deflated.”
But it gets better. “We did this because driving in an SUV has a huge impact. , outperforming the airline industry.”
The story goes on and on, but you get the sickening point: you're a terrible person for driving a gas-guzzling ICE car.
The only problem is that the car in question is of course a Tesla. This is not an SUV at all. Because Tesla doesn't make a model that can accurately be called a true SUV. However, they do make models that pretend to be SUVs, like Joe Biden pretending to be president for about two years. A few hours most days.
The owner, a man from Clifton, Bristol, UK, was told by the BBC that he was “saying something humorous” but felt “a bit violated”. Definitely, who could blame him?
But later, speaking to reporters, he seemed even more upset, adding: “Ironic, because I was trying to do the right thing by buying an electric car.” That's stupid and inconvenient.I understand why [climate activism] This is happening, but I don't understand what this means. ” Well, other than brainwashed lunatics who believe they are doing something important by draping soup cans over priceless works of art or obstructing traffic by sticking to sidewalks. Who can understand its meaning? (Related: John Stossel: Spending endless amounts of money on solving 'climate change' is a huge waste of money)
Interestingly, what does the group behind this prank call themselves? — Tire fire extinguisher. And understand this – they claim to have targeted Tesla – identified in their flyers as “gas guzzlers” – on purpose. A spokesperson for the group said: “Hybrid and electric cars are fair competitors. We cannot get out of the climate crisis by providing electricity. There are not enough rare earth metals to replace everyone's cars. , the mining of these metals is causing suffering.”
you know what? The man makes a consistent point: there aren't enough rare earth metals to replace everyone's cars. What he/she/xe/xey isn't saying is that replacing ICE cars with EVs isn't really the goal here. The real goal is to get all but the ultra-wealthy upper class to completely abandon their private cars.
Almost as an afterthought, the spokesperson added: “Furthermore, the risk to other road users remains.” Ah, I see. Thank you for clarifying that. We were all wondering.
Oh my God. You can't make these people up.
