There is broad agreement that Doug Collins is the best choice for this important Cabinet position, and he deserves strong bipartisan support. The Senate should confirm Mr. Collins without delay.
To this day, Collins serves as a colonel and chaplain in the Air Force Reserve, is an Iraq War veteran, and previously served in the Navy. During his four terms in the House of Representatives, he earned a reputation as a trusted and respected leader and rapidly rose through the ranks to become the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee.
Collins has been a tireless advocate for veterans and the military throughout his tenure in both the Georgia House of Representatives and Congress.
President Trump’s credo for our brave veterans has always been, “We must take care of our men and women in uniform,” and with Collins as Secretary of Veterans Affairs, this will continue to be a major focus. Dew.
