Deadline extended to fill out survey on southeast Valley regional transportation

The deadline for responding to a public survey on planning for the Superstition Vistas Multimodal Planning Study has been extended to July 10.

The Maricopa Government Association is investigating transportation plans for the area south of Apache Junction and Mesa, including parts of Queen Creek and Florence.

The study area is a large, largely undeveloped area in northern Pinal County, southeast of the MAG planning area. Boundaries include Hawes Road in Mesa, the town of Queen Creek, and the San Tan Mountain Regional Park to the west. The Gila River Indian community, the unincorporated Santan Valley, and the town of Florence to the south. Head east on State Route 79 and US 60. To the north is Apache Junction and Southern Avenue in Mesa City.
