Rumors of his death quickly spread on social media, with fans from all over the world rushing to find out the details of the alleged incident. The internet was soon awash with news that the famous rapper had died in prison, or even been murdered, and mourners were quick to begin paying their respects. It turned out to be fake news, and while fans were relieved to know that YFN Lucci was alive and well, there were some terrifying moments that fans won't soon forget. TMZ.

As the rap world mourns the sudden passing of veteran rapper Rich Homie Quan, a new death rumor has surfaced.
The fake death took some time to resolve, but fans who were initially heartbroken eventually began to recover from the horrific prank.
According to TMZ, Lucci's attorney, Drew Findling, whose RICO trial ended in January with a 10-year prison sentence, confirmed that his client is not dead.

Lucci pleaded guilty to violating street gang and anti-terrorism laws and is currently serving his sentence, and according to TMZ, he is hoping for release in January 2025.
