Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Cullen DeBoer arrives in Tuscaloosa with much higher expectations than he has had throughout his coaching career.
Despite his incredible run to a national championship with the Washington Huskies last season, his role now means he's not just expected to win a title, he's expected to, and according to DeBoer, the expectation of success doesn't faze him.

During the performance Next Live During the show, DeBoer was asked by the hosts about expectations and whether he believes the Tide can win a championship in his first season in charge after the team came so close to winning last year.
“Honestly, that's why I came here,” DeBoer said. “There will be times during the week and moments in games where the pressure will be on. What I always remind my guys is, 'This is why you came here.' I came here to be a part of that and to have expectations. It always has been and it should be. We're going to do everything we can every day to make that happen and try to live up to it. That's definitely our goal.”
Alabama's 2024 roster will arguably be the most talented group Coach DeBoer has ever led, at least on paper.
Talent is no guarantee, but he certainly came to Tuscaloosa with lofty goals, and even though Nick Saban is no longer at the helm, DeBoer said the standards remain the same.
