Dem Gov Flip-Flops On Live TV Over Harris ‘Supporting’ Southern Border Wall

Colorado's Democratic governor, Jared Polis, was heard on ABC's “This Week” on Sunday expressing his indignation over Vice President Kamala Harris' “support” for building a wall on the southern U.S. border.

“This is an issue that has been very misleading when it comes to public debate. Democrats in general, Kamala Harris, Joe Biden and, you know, Barack Obama have always been in favor of building a barrier or a wall at certain locations on the border as part of a comprehensive border security strategy,” Polis said.

“But wait a minute, she called the border wall a 'medieval vanity project' and a foolish use of money and said she would block funding for it. So she wasn't talking about supporting the wall,” Karl interjected.

Polis went on to push back against former President Donald Trump's border wall, calling it a “colossal waste of taxpayer money,” adding that Harris would secure the border in the most “cost-effective way,” including through the use of “barriers and walls.”

“Certainly, Donald Trump's proposed border wall would be a huge waste of taxpayer money. He talked about a wall across virtually the entire border, but he never effectively used different types of barriers in a cost-effective manner, including satellite imagery and on-the-ground intelligence, to secure and seal the border,” Polis said.
