Democrat Whines About ICE Arresting Migrant ‘Parent’ Outside School. Turns Out Perp Is Twice-Deported Gangbanger

Democrats cheated immigration and customs enforcement (ICE) for arresting near school buildings despite being a confirmed member of multiple criminally convicted street gangs.

Illinois Democratic Rep. Chuy Garcia published Skas Statement On Thursday evening, in response to an ice halt that took place outside the Chicago Charter School the day before. Calling the arrest a “ambush,” Garcia promoted the laws he introduced in Congress, banning deportation officers from making such arrests in “sensitive places” such as schools and hospitals. “In my district, Ice ambushed parents while dropping off their children at school, Garcia said in a social media post.

“This is the reason [New York Democrat Rep. Adriano Espaillat] And me We have introduced a protective and delicate location law. Schools, hospitals and places of worship are prohibited! Congress must act now,” Garcia continued.

Illinois House of Representatives was responding to a Chicago Tribune Articles About parents who were arrested by ice agents on Wednesday morning, dropping off two students at an Acero Charter School on Chicago’s southwest side. This article did not identify any individuals who were detained.

However, ICE confirmed with the Daily Call News Foundation that the individual is Francisco Andredo Verella, a Mexican national who is a member of a “violent” street gang and is a Mexican national who has previously been convicted of several famous crimes. His immigration status is not specified.

“Ice Chicago successfully arrested Mexican citizen Francisco Andredo Verella, 37, on February 26th,” an ICE spokesman said in a statement provided to DCNF. “Andrade is a known member of a violent street gang who was criminally convicted of drug trafficking, gang rottering and damages to property that had been previously taken away from the US to his home country in 2005 and 2011.”

The agency’s statement further revealed that ice supervisors will exercise discretion as to when to implement immigration enforcement action at or near the school. Their businesses have repeatedly prioritized criminal immigration and public safety threats.

It is not immediately clear how, when and when Andrade-Berrera could re-enter the United States after his second deportation in 2013.

Garcia’s office did not immediately respond to a DCNF investigation asking whether lawmakers would stand up to his statement or whether ice agents would be allowed to carry out enforcement actions on school property to remove crime-criminal gang members.

Garcia was not the only famous individual who was angry with the ice. Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) President Stacey Davis Gates called the arrest “an act of horror” in another official statement.

“I don’t care what institution they are. It’s a deliberate act of fear on behalf of this government for fathers to try and provide education to their children in places of learning,” Gates said Thursday. “Our union will join tonight with Acero’s mother to denounce anyone’s targets in the school community and demand leadership from the board, CEO, mayor and governor who will endure sadists who actually take charge of federal policy and corporate friends who will take away their cruelty.”

The CTU did not immediately respond to a DCNF request for comments on Andrade-Berrera’s criminal history.

The controversy over the arrest of a Chicago charter school follows a January directive by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), where ICE agents have made enforcement measures implemented in so-called “sensitive locations” in places such as schools, hospitals and churches that were previously considered off-limits. Under the new changes, deportation officers have far more discretion about where to make arrests, making it much more difficult for criminal immigrants like Andredo Berella to avoid justice.

According to DHS, federal agents arrested more than 20,000 illegal immigrants during their first month of office in the Trump administration, destroying the Biden administration’s pace of illegal immigrant arrests. President Donald Trump has vowed to implement the largest deportation operation in US history, and has issued a surge in executive orders and other administrative decrees aimed at restoring orders in the immigration system.
