The roster update in Tuscaloosa was big news, with many players opting to change numbers or looking up new players' numbers.
But the biggest news revolves around one of Alabama's best defensive players.
Star linebacker Deonte Lawson will wear No. 0 this season, becoming the first Alabama player to wear it since it was approved for 2021.
Previously, players weren't allowed to wear No. 0 on the football field, but even once it was allowed, coach Nick Saban didn't allow anyone to wear No. 0.

Lawson, who previously wore jersey number 32, is currently under new head coach Karen DeBoer.
Lawson's running mate, inside linebacker Jihad Campbell, will also change jersey numbers, switching from No. 30 to No. 11.
Defensive tackle Jehiem Ortiz will also change from No. 91 to No. 11, and fellow defensive lineman Jah Marien Latham will change from No. 93 to No. 20.
It's certainly a new era in Tuscaloosa, and many players on the team are starting the new era with new uniform numbers.
