Experts have previously said the Biden administration's move to rewrite Title IX would endanger women's sports and undermine due process rights. The rule would require faculty to report inappropriate use of pronouns by transgender people to campus, said DeVos, the Title IX coordinator who helped shape the Trump administration's Title IX policy. Bob Eitel, co-founder of the Freedom Defense Institute, told The Daily Caller. News Foundation.
“For example, if you have a biology teacher who works with transgender students who identify as female but are biologically male, and you have a teacher's aide in the classroom, and the biology teacher is female, Suppose you call a self-identified male student “Mr.” . “Teacher's aides who observe 'this or that' would be required as a matter of law to report that incident to a Title IX coordinator under standards proposed by the Biden administration,” Eitel told DCNF.
According to Politico, the ED also set another deadline of March 2024 for a section on athletic eligibility that proposed outlawing the ban on transgender students from participating in sports.
According to Politico, a spokesperson for the ministry said: “The ministry is still considering a second set of regulations related to athletics. This regulation was first proposed nine months after the first, and is subject to a total of 150,000 cases. “We have received public comments, but the law requires careful consideration.”
The ED did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation's request for comment.
