According to the sheriff’s office, there was an incident involving disorderly conduct, and as a result, two dogs were approaching a deputy when he arrived on the scene.
Gira County, Ariz. – A deputy from the sheriff’s office shot and killed one of the dogs involved in a reported attack in Gira County yesterday.
On September 10th, around 12:45 PM, deputies were sent to respond to an assault report in Claypool, which was thought to be happening in a nearby driveway.
As the deputy approached, two dogs were pushing against a screen door and began to bite the man’s arms and legs. The individual went to the doorway, where one of the dogs continued to bite him even as he tried to get outside.
The sheriff’s office reported that deputies fired a single shot at the “aggressive” dog. The man was taken to the hospital, and later, he received a citation for the disorderly conduct that had initially drawn attention.
Subsequently, animal control had to euthanize the dogs, as indicated by the sheriff’s office.
