‘Despicable’: Teacher Reprimands Student That Questioned A Peer ‘Identifying As A Cat’

On Friday, a 13-year-old schoolgirl and her friend were called “vile” after questioning another student being a cat, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The girl asked her classmate, “How do you know it’s a cat when you’re a girl?” As a result, she was reprimanded by a teacher at Rye University in East Sussex. According to the Daily Telegraph. Teachers told the young students that they would not be allowed to return to school and that they would be reported to senior leadership if they continued to question fellow students’ identity documents. Recordings of the heated exchange were filmed by some of the students involved in the incident, according to the Daily Telegraph. The recording details interactions in which students question the validity of another student’s ID. “If they want to identify themselves as a cat or something, it means they’re really sick and insane,” one of the students can be heard saying. The teacher then asks her two girls, “Where did you get the idea that he only has two genders?”

The teacher added, “Gender is not tied to what you are born with, it is how you perceive yourself.” Young girls responded that they disagreed, that boys have penises and girls have vaginas.

“You’re talking about the fact that cisgender is the norm and that you identify with the genitalia you were born with. That’s basically what you’re talking about. It’s really despicable,” the teacher told the students. She then hinted that they were homophobic. (Related: Massive left-wing deception about gender is failing utterly, major new study reveals)

Parents of the students who made the recording expressed anger online after the teacher cut off the discussion, according to the Daily Telegraph.

“We are committed to providing our students with a comprehensive education,” Rye University told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “Teachers strive to listen to students and encourage students to ask questions and debate. Teachers also aim to answer questions sensitively and honestly.”
