Diana Ross Suddenly Withdraws from Cruise Ship Performance

Diana Ross Cancels Cruise Appearance

Iconic R&B artist Diana Ross unexpectedly canceled her planned appearance on a Royal Caribbean cruise shortly before kicking off a US tour.

The 81-year-old was set to take on the role of “God Mother” for the cruise launched in June as part of a “Star of Seas” showcase. However, her representative confirmed that she would not be attending, without offering further details on the reason for the cancellation.

Fans are left wondering what could have led to such a sudden change. Ross was scheduled to join the cruise on August 20th, departing from Port Canaveral, Florida, for a three-day trip to a private destination named Perfect Day at Cocosei.

A statement from the cruise line expressed disappointment over her absence, noting their eagerness to introduce a new “Godmother” soon.

In July, Ross had wrapped up her British tour and was gearing up for her “beautiful love” tour in the US, starting in Saratoga, California, on August 16th. Until now, she hadn’t hinted at any issues regarding the cruise, and she appeared genuinely excited about the event during a June interview.

Reflecting on her connection to the sea, she mentioned how special the opportunity felt to her, highlighting themes of peace and adventure.

As of now, Ross has not made any comments on her social media regarding the cancellation.
