Director Martin Campbell has revealed that Henry Cavill missed out on the role of James Bond simply because he was at an age disadvantage.

Campbell admitted that Cavill passed the audition perfectly. He was perfect for the role, except that he appeared to have a youthful appearance compared to Craig.
“He looked great at the audition. His performance was great,” said Campbell. Said said in an interview with Express UK.

“They didn’t have the experience or the mental leeway to take it on, because it’s not just the role they’re taking on, it’s a huge responsibility,” she said.
Craig played 007 until 2021’s No Time to Die.
