Discover Job Opportunities at Yavapai College Pathways Event

    <p>Yavapai University, alongside the Sedona Arizona Community Foundation and Valley Academy for Career and Technology Education (VACTE), is inviting middle and high school students, as well as adults, to explore career and technology education options. Participants can connect with industry professionals and discover job opportunities available both locally and statewide.</p>

    <p>There's a free event called "Pathways Exploratory Day to Career" taking place on Wednesdays from 9 AM to 12:30 PM, with the next session on September 24th at the Yavapai College Burde Valley Campus, located at 601 W. Black Hills, Clarkdale. This event is supported by APS.</p>

    <blockquote><p>"Exploring careers in trade and health sciences can help reward employment opportunities and empower the Verde Valley community," stated Heather Malkea, an associate dean at Yavapai University's Verde Valley campus. "We are thrilled to be able to offer these programs and equip students with essential skills that open up a path to successful and meaningful careers."</p></blockquote>

    <p>Participants will have the chance to tour various programs and practice spaces, offering insights into what their university experiences might entail. The Sedona Arizona Community Foundation and Lisa (Low Income Student Aid) will also provide information on scholarships and programs that assist students and families with tuition fees.</p>

    <h4>Participants can expect to learn about the following fields:</h4>

        <li>Phlebotomy</li>
        <li>Cosmetology (VACTE only)</li>
        <li>Education (VACTE only)</li>
        <li>Fire Science</li>
        <li>Law Enforcement</li>
        <li>Nursing</li>
        <li>Residential Construction</li>
        <li>Residential Electrician</li>
        <li>HVAC</li>
        <li>Residential Piping</li>
        <li>Viticulture & Enology* (*21 years and older)</li>
    </ul>

    <p>All registered students will be entered into a drawing for various electronic devices. Registration is necessary and can be completed online at www.yc.edu/pathways2025.</p>
