According to a press release, the twins weighed between 2 and 6 pounds and most of the pairs were boys, which surprised some parents. Rabbi Mendel and Hindi Mintz called it a “double blessing” when they found out they were pregnant with two babies.
Parent Jordan Edelstein said the birth of twins was a wonderful bonding experience for all mothers and fathers, according to Cedars-Sinai news agency.
“I was surprised to have two sets of 10 twins, but it was great to connect with other parents and see them on their journey,” Edelstein said. “It’s reassuring to see so many other families going through similar experiences.”
Another parent, Samantha Perlman, gave birth to twin girls and said it was nice to talk to other parents about the “baby boom.”
“We are in touch. It’s been really great talking and exchanging numbers,” Samantha said, according to a press release.
NICU deputy director Bevin Merides said meeting her newborn twin sisters at the same hospital was one of the reasons she decided to become a nurse.
