DOD Inspector General Launches Probe Into Hegseth Over Use Of Signal

The Department of Defense Inspector’s Office (OIG) said Thursday it would launch an investigation into the use of Defense Secretary Pete Hegses’ signal and discuss a strike plan against the Hooty Rebels.

OIG said the office is complying with requests from the Senate Armed Services Committee and is determining whether Hegseth has complied with DOD guidelines for using “commercial messaging applications for official business.” According to In OIG memo released on Thursday. Hegseth was an active member of the “Houthi PC Small Group” chat. This was leaked to the public after national security adviser Mike Waltz accidentally added Atlantic Editor in Chief Jeffrey Goldberg to the group.
