DOD Purge Reportedly Leaves Hegseth Without Chief Of Staff, Top Advisors

Defense Secretary Pete Hegses, Chief of Staff, is reportedly planning to leave the agency after a series of fire from other officials allegedly involved in the Intelligence Election Leak.

Hegses Chief of Staff Joe Casper is reportedly planning to leave his post in the coming days. I said Politico on Friday. Earlier this week, senior adviser Dan Caldwell, Deputy Chief of Staff Hegses Darrin Selnick and Chief of Staff Colin Carroll, deputy Defense Secretary Stephen Feinberg, were placed on administrative leave awaiting an investigation into Interleek.

“At this point, no final senior staff changes have been decided, and the secretary will make future announcements on his own timetable,” the official told the Daily Callenor News Foundation.

Casper requested an investigation into the leak at the Pentagon in March, but it is still unknown whether his particular investigation is related to the firing. One defense attorney told Politico that Kasper was in conflict with three dismissed advisors.

“Joe didn’t like those guys,” an official told Politico. “They all have different styles. They just didn’t get along well. It was a clash of personality.”
