WELTON, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) – Dome Valley Raceway will host the Arizona ATV Nationals.

The five-day event brings together professional sand drag racers from all over the country to battle it out on the race track.

The family-run racetrack provides sand drag racing with a platform to showcase their abilities and is expected to further increase the popularity of the sport.

This year's competition will feature a professional sand drag racing team from Puerto Rico.

“I've grown up doing this all my life. My family started this racetrack. My father had a dream, if you build it they will come, and they Here we are. We have racers from Louisiana, Washington State, all over the United States.'' Just hearing about it is great! ” said Esteban Juarez, race director for Dome Valley Raceway.

Tickets are on sale at the gate and the event will be held Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
