Don Johnson claimed that Johnny Depp was responsible for a very scary prank that scared his assistant years ago.

The famous actor appeared on Thursday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and recalled the incident that happened. He told Kimmel that he and Hunter S. Thompson were neighbors at the time in Woody Creek, Colorado, and that he often pranked him. He went on to say that he sent his assistant to Thompson’s house one day to run errands, and that Thompson and Depp jumped out from behind the car, shot the assistant with a blank shotgun, and caused chaos.

Johnson told Kimmel that the prank ended up being a horrifying event.

“I called Hunter’s house to see if he had any weed, and of course he had quite a bit of weed,” the 74-year-old star explained.

He recalled how the series of events unfolded.

“So I said, ‘Listen, we’ve got a small group gathered here and we’re going to get marijuana,'” he said.

He said Thompson told him to come, but Johnson ultimately decided to send an assistant to retrieve the marijuana for him. He told Kimmel that he didn’t realize Thompson was waiting for him to pull a prank and wait for him to arrive.

“[He] Johnny Depp and Hunter hid behind Hunter’s car with a loaded shotgun. And when my assistant got out of the car, they both jumped out and said, “Die, Mom…!” ”’ Johnson told Kimmel.

“And my assistant, God bless him, he peed his pants — right?” Johnson said.

“That’s something I would never do with my pants on,” Kimmel says. “Is that assistant still there?”

“Oh, no,” Johnson replied.

“Is that assistant still there?” Kimmel followed.

“I think he’s still with us,” the actor said. “I don’t know what kind of mental state he’s in.”
