Doney Park man sentenced for sexually assaulting 4 girls

Juan Giron, Jr. will serve three consecutive life sentences after being convicted by Coconino County Superior Court of indecent exposure, child abuse, and having sex with a minor. increase.

Giron faced more than a dozen counts, including three counts of sexual conduct with a minor, one count of indecent exposure and eight counts of child abuse.

In Giron’s case, four different victims came forward and all testified at his trial.

Their testimonies had an impact – the girls lived with or spent summers at Jiron’s house. I told the jury about it.

Despite the defense’s attempts to classify some of the incidents as family rumors, the older girl’s story also influenced younger children who were in and around the Giron home. Regardless, the prosecutor won the case.

A jury found the former Donnie Park resident guilty on all counts.

Giron, who appeared before Judge Ted Reed on Friday, was committed to custody at the Arizona Department of Corrections.

Giron was sentenced to life imprisonment with no possibility of release for at least 35 years for each count of sexual conduct with a minor. For each of his child molestation cases, Giron was ordered to serve 17 years in prison. These judgments were also serial. For the obscene exposure, Jiron was sentenced to additional prison terms.

Ultimately, the sentence will be over 119 years in the Department of Corrections.

In a statement after Giron was sentenced, Coconino County Attorney Bill Ring said: Each of his four victims in this case bravely testified at the trial. The defendant now spends the rest of his life in prison and is no longer a danger to the community. ”
