The NCAA is in some real clowns for this. (lmao)
The 2025 edition of March Madness began on Tuesday evening, with two “first four” contests taking place, deciding who will officially enter the Big Dance. And during that time, the fans were treated to… as a complete comedy when you asked me.
With sports betting becoming the new standard, it’s not just NCAA Tournament teams. (Related: March Madness’s first game ends with the incredible hail Mary Game Winner)
With this being the case, the NCAA hilariously felt the need to launch a sports betting commercial on Tuesday. They actually used that word. It makes all this even more interesting.
In fact, the ads are called “Don’t Be a Loser” and just… check this out.
clock:
“Don’t be a loser”: @ncaa We will be releasing sports bet anti-harassment videos.

It’s comical to me that the NCAA actually felt the need to do this, and how it did it makes it even better, and while I’m doing it, it proves to be completely ineffective.
As long as sports betting is involved in giving people the ability to emotionally connect to their wallets at sporting events, there are always angry fans. They need to hit those parlays!
I understand what the NCAA is trying to do, but it doesn’t work. But thank you for the comedy.
