Doocy Asks KJP Point-Blank If 13,000 Illegal Migrants With Prior ‘Murder’ Convictions Roaming US Poses ‘Danger’

Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy confronted White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Monday about tens of thousands of illegal immigrants convicted of murder roaming freely across the United States. did.

The spokesperson explained that the publicly disclosed number of illegal immigrants convicted of these crimes is misleading. “If we're going to report on something and the data that's out there, we have to do it in a way that doesn't confuse the American people and definitely doesn't lie,” the spokesperson continued. “And this is fact-checked, so the way it's being misrepresented here is in no way acceptable and I needed to be really clear about that.”

Among the undocumented immigrants roaming freely are 15,811 illegal immigrants with sexual assault convictions and another 14,301 with robbery convictions, the letter said. As of July 21, more than 662,566 noncitizens with criminal records were on ICE's national roster, according to the letter.

That includes 435,719 convicted criminals and 226,847 with pending criminal charges, the letter said.

The agency also detailed how sanctuary cities are allegedly ignoring detainer requests for criminal aliens, making it difficult for law enforcement agencies to arrest convicted immigrants.

Department of Homeland Security Spokesperson said NBC News reported that these numbers date back 40 years and that the data has been misrepresented. It was not immediately clear when any of the 13,000 illegal immigrants convicted of murder first entered the United States.

Jose Ibarra, an illegal immigrant from Venezuela, was charged with killing 22-year-old nursing student Laken Riley off the University of Georgia campus in February. A 23-year-old illegal immigrant named Victor Antonio Martinez Hernandez was arrested in June on suspicion of the rape and murder of 37-year-old Rachel Morin.
