The upcoming road closures will allow the City of Kingman to embark on its long-awaited downtown cityscape project. The project will be completed in his three phases, with the first phase starting on his Monday, July 10th. Beale Street will be closed to traffic between 2nd and 3rd Avenues North. The closure will continue from Monday 10 July 2023 at 7:00 am until October 2023.
During this period, the area will be closed to vehicles, but pedestrian walkways will be maintained to allow access to the shops. The City of Kingman is encouraging local residents and visitors to continue to support local businesses during construction. Alternate parking along the open section of Beale Street and numerous parking lots around the project are available.
The project is scheduled to be completed in May 2024. The latest information on the project can be found at the following URL: https://Downtown Design Kingman.com/. The City of Kingman can be contacted at Curtis Larsen, Project Manager, at 928-692-3115.
The City of Kingman is urging anyone passing through the work area to exercise caution and provide a safe working environment for workers, the public motoring public and pedestrians.
