Even though Jalen Milroe faced some challenges last season with the Alabama Crimson Tide, there’s a good chance he could be picked in the first round.

Sure, Milroe has some issues as a passer, but his ability to make plays on the run is catching the attention of teams that might be interested in coaching him further.

NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero mentioned that scouts and coaches have described Milroe as the “most impressive runner in football” he’s evaluated for the quarterback position.

“What’s striking is that multiple coaches and scouts have told me Milroe is the best runner they’ve seen for a quarterback,” Pelissero noted, adding he stands out even against players like Lamar Jackson.

With over 1,500 rushing yards in his college career and 33 touchdowns—20 of which came just last year—Milroe, right from the start, could be a dynamic player on the ground.

It’s still unclear if he can achieve consistent success as a passer, but teams appear open to giving him a shot.
