Drake Hit By Object On Stage As Disturbing Trend Continues

Drake became the latest victim of an onstage attack when a concert-goer fired a cell phone at him during a live performance in Chicago.

Video footage posted to Twitter revealed that someone in the crowd threw a phone at Drake as he sang a cover of Ginuwine’s song “So Uncouth” on Wednesday night. A cell phone can be seen sailing through the air, slamming Drake’s torso and bouncing off his arm. The artist appeared uninjured and he continued to run the set without interruption in action.of clip Since then, it has been viewed nearly 80,000 times on social media.

Fans in the audience immediately noticed something had been thrown at Drake, but some didn’t realize the object was a phone. “What?” I hear someone ask.

Wednesday was the first concert as part of Drake’s “It’s All A Blur” tour.

While the star was lucky enough to escape injury this time around, the other performers weren’t so lucky. Bebe Rexha, Kelsea Ballerini, Ava Max and Harry Styles were hit by projectiles while performing on stage in 2023.

Some of the stars who have fallen victim to audience abuse have suffered injuries, including Bebe Rexha. She had to have stitches over her eyes to cover the scars she got from having her phone thrown directly in her face in June. The disturbing trend seems to be gaining momentum, and stars such as Adele have since taken to the stage to address the issue head-on, warning viewers that this dangerous practice will not be tolerated.
