The disturbing revelation was further highlighted when Cooney's family told The Hollywood Reporter that Brooke Mueller, the ex-wife of former drug addict Charlie Sheen, was a longtime friend of Fleming's. According to reports, the family claims that Mueller confirmed she was in a relationship with Cooney at the time of his death and pressured him to attend a facility.

Mueller also reportedly spent time in rehab with the so-called “Queen of Ketamine,” Sangha, the source from whom Fleming purchased ketamine vials, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Mr Cooney's ex-wife, Sarah Morse, has reportedly alleged that Mr Mueller played a major role in Mr Cooney's downfall.

“She introduced him to shortcuts and connections that only made their illness worse. Through her, he was drawn into a circle of people who hid their greed behind labels like 'addiction specialists' – sober buddies who tried to get them to buy their drugs, doctors who would prescribe anything, and silent helpers who would only pay them,” Morse told The Hollywood Reporter.

“William was vulnerable, like an addict, and they targeted him,” she reportedly claimed.

Regarding her connection to Fleming, she told media, “Eric took William to the rehab facility, and Eric drove him there himself.”

“When this case came about, we were told it was impossible to prosecute, that the papers the rehab facilities had addicts sign were so perfect that our only hope was to pass new laws,” Morse told The Hollywood Reporter.
