Drowning | The Buzz -The buzz in Bullhead City – Lake Havasu City – Kingman – Arizona – California

BULLHEAD CITY, Arizona – June 21, 2023 – The Bullhead City Police Department is investigating a drowning incident on the Colorado River on Tuesday night.

Around 7:30 p.m. on June 20, ambulance crews were dispatched at the boat dock of the Riverside Casino on the Nevada side of the river. A 14-year-old girl from Downey, Calif., was rescued from the water after she became trapped under an inflatable tube between the posts of the Laughlin Bridge. Eyewitness reports said the boy was in an inflatable boat towed by a personal watercraft (PWC). The female juvenile was thrown out of the tube and the PWC overturned. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation was immediately given. The victim was taken to the Western Arizona Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

due to faulty or negligent operation, no is believed to be the cause of this accident. PWC was privately owned and the operators were experienced. The victim was wearing a life jacket. No other injuries were reported. This incident is still under investigation.
