From Sedona City
Beginning July 29, 2024, the City and contractor HT4 Construction will begin work to realign a portion of Dry Creek Road, as shown on the map below.
This work will be done in conjunction with a shared-use path being constructed west of Dry Creek Road between Two Fences Trail and Thunder Mountain Road. The road realignment will ensure the path stays within the city's right-of-way, which is necessary for the path project to move forward.
The roadway realignment work will include removing and replacing the existing asphalt, removing weeds and trees, improving drainage, marking the roadway and installing rocks, handrails and signage.
Starting Monday, crews will begin setting up traffic controls and prep work along Dry Creek Road ahead of removing the asphalt road.
Work will occur Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM to 5:30 PM. One lane will be open and temporary traffic signals will be in place. Along Dry Creek Road, please watch for construction equipment, lane restrictions, speed limits, poor road conditions and noise. Motorists should expect brief delays and allow extra time when traveling on the project road. Crews will work with residents to maintain private road access during construction activities.
The road alignment project is expected to be completed by the end of 2024, followed by additional construction of the shared-use walkway.
