EAC lecture series continues at Discovery Park with ‘A Closer Look at the Underground Railroad’

Thatcher-Eastern Arizona College’s ongoing Discovery Park lecture series continues this week with a presentation by Dennis Crockett titled “Details of the Underground Railroad.”

The talk, scheduled for Saturday, February 11th at 6:00 pm, will be held in the Jupiter Room of the main Discovery Park Building at 1651 W. Discovery Park Blvd., Safford. Admission to the event is free and the presentation is suitable for all ages.

Enjoy this Black History Month presentation on the Underground Railroad and the role handmade, coded quilts played in freeing 100,000 slaves.

While there, visitors are invited to tour the Graham County Historical Society’s historical artefacts exhibit, the “History of Astronomy” gallery, and board the “Polaris” shuttle simulator for a tour of the solar system.
