Bright Star tells the story of two different points in Alice Murphy’s life. As a teenage girl in Zebulon, North Carolina, she is hopelessly in love with her Ray, the mayor’s son Jimmy, the heartthrob of a small town. Their love is pure, but falls victim to the meddling of their ambitious parents.More than 20 years later, Alice is a successful editor of her Southern Journal of Asheville and meets a promising young author named Billy. increase.
