Thatcher — Eastern Arizona College is proud to host Spring Thing on April 26th and 28th at 7:30pm and April 29th at 1:00pm and 7:30pm. All shows are staged at the Fine Arts Auditorium. There will be four different performances, each with its own theme and style, to feature diverse aspects of the musical programme.
Wednesday’s performance, titled Gloria, will feature the community symphonic choir, the Gila Valley Jazz Singers, the a cappella choir, and the resonas. A special guest organist will also be present to showcase the university’s new organ. Dr. Andrew Lloyd, music professor at the University of Texas at San Antonio, plays some organs.
Friday’s performance “Luminous Night” will be a more traditional choral show featuring GilaSoul Singers, Resonus and an a cappella choir.
Saturday performances include a matinee at 1:00 PM and an evening performance at 7:30 PM. The matinee will feature encores and the Gila Valley Children’s Choir.
Saturday night’s final show, Choral Showcase, features the EAC Choir.
With the EAC choir sharing a wide variety of music and singing styles, there’s something for everyone at Spring Sing.
