Eisner Takes a Pair of Heats at NAU Tune-Up

Flagstaff, Arizona – 2nd grade Dillon Eisner (Paulden, Ariz.) led the Embry-Riddle men's long distance track team in its first meet of the season, winning two heats at the NAU Tune-up. Eisner won both the mile and 800 meters in heats held at an indoor track in Flagstaff.

In the first race of the night, Eisner led from start to finish in the mile, winning by nearly 12 seconds with a time of 4:37.36. Later in the evening, Eisner competed in the 800 meters, running a time of 2:07.11, winning by more than nine seconds.

In the Eagles' mile race, freshmen were also running in a different section. ben smith (Spokane, Washington) and Jr. austin remus (Chino, California), they ran 4:44.97 and 4:47.23, respectively.

Senior Demetris Love Jr. (Phoenix, Arizona) led a troupe of six Eagles in the 3,000 meter competition.He placed fifth in 9:08.79, tied with his sophomore Jacob Ortiz (Chandler, Arizona) also finished in the top 10 with a good time of 7th place in 9 minutes 16.51 seconds.
