Elon Musk Reportedly Says He’ll Unleash Around $45 Million A Month Toward Pro-Trump Super PAC

Billionaire Elon Musk has reportedly said he plans to pour about $45 million per month into a super political action committee (PAC) helping former President Donald Trump win the election this November.

A person familiar with the matter Said The Wall Street Journal reported on the billionaire's plans to further his support for the American PAC. Others involved in supporting the group include Palantir Technologies co-founder Joe Lonsdale, cryptocurrency billionaires Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, former US ambassador to Canada Kelly Craft and her husband, Alliance Resource Partners CEO Joe Craft.

Reports of Musk's donation to the US PAC were published on Friday, with a source familiar with the matter telling Bloomberg that Musk made a “substantial” donation. (Related article: 'Trump is on a roll': Historically blue states could turn purple)

Following the assassination attempt at President Trump's rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, Musk expressed his full support for the former president in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

“I fully support President Trump and wish him a speedy recovery,” Musk wrote.

The former president has steadily garnered support from Silicon Valley's elite in recent months, with a growing number of them voicing their support. On Saturday, in addition to Musk, billionaire hedge fund manager and longtime Democratic donor Bill Ackman also voiced his support for Trump. write X's post referred to “posts in support of President Trump” and “criticism” of President Joe Biden.

“You of course don't need to care about my opinions and you don't have to read my posts when they are posted. That said, I believe the upcoming presidential election is one of the most important elections of my lifetime, and as such, I will take an appropriate time to express views which I share broadly and for which I take great responsibility,” Ackman wrote.

Others, including venture capitalists David Sachs and Chamath Palihapitiya, held fundraisers for the former president in early June, raising a total of $12 million from donors who had never donated to the Republican Party or to Trump before the event.

Elon Musk, USA PAC and the Trump campaign did not immediately respond to requests for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.
