sedona news – Emerson Theater Collaborative (ETC) is proud to present another unforgettable live theater production this holiday season. Celebrate the holidays with David Sedaris events. Holidays on Ice Hilarious Stories will be held from November 29th to December 1st in Verde Valley School’s Brady Hall. A collection of irreverent, darkly comedic episodes that offer an alternative perspective on the holiday season, this production was made possible with permission from David Sedaris.
holidays on ice is instructed by Camila Ross is an award-winning producer, director, actor, and executive director of the Emerson Theater Collaborative and Sedona Academy of the Arts.
The cast includes Emerson veterans James Yeo, Audrey Young, Joan Westmoreland, Sean Spencer, Lisa Glinski, Matt Egan, and Kat Ransom. ETC welcomes Terra Shelman, Craig Schneider, Kirstyn Lazur, and Kaycee Palumbo to its creative team.
A special pre-show event will be held on opening night, Friday, November 29th. Sights, sounds and sampling of the holiday experience. Audience members are invited to interact and jingle with the performers. holiday on ice Savor seasonal snacks and enjoy the stylings of Jeannie Carroll, who has performed in front of enthusiastic audiences around the world. The event will be catered by Chef John Lamargri. Get in the festive spirit with singing, eating, and sampling all things holiday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. $20 including show tickets for opening night only. $45 at the door. The number of participants will be limited to 50 people.
In keeping with the season, each performance opens with musical performances by special guests. The Red Rock Apella Ensemble will wow the audience on opening night, and local favorite, the versatile Sandy Shenholm, will perform Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
Performances at Verde Valley School’s Brady Hall, 3511 Verde Valley School Road, will be held Friday and Saturday, Nov. 29 and 30, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 1, at 2 p.m. Tickets are $35 in advance and $45 at the door.
