‘Encourages People To Steal’: Leo Terrell Goes Scorched Earth On Democrats For ‘Allowing’ Crime Spike

Fox News contributor Leo Terrell lashes out at lawmakers for ‘encouraging’ crime surge across the country

Terrell lashed out after 68-year-old Donna Handsborough was fired from her job at Rose after she had her eyes blinded during a standoff while trying to stop thieves from stealing $2,000 worth of goods.

“It makes no sense to fire an employee who did the right thing. Lowe’s acted wrong, harshly. It sends the wrong message. It encourages people to steal and discourages employees from doing the right thing,” Terrell told Fox News’ Jackie Heinrich on Monday. “Basically, we are not only encouraging employees to ignore the problem, but we are also encouraging criminals to commit more crimes.”

Mr. Terrell later blamed Democratic policies for the continuing surge in crime in major cities. (Related article: Leo Terrell denounces left-wing prosecutor’s response to rampant crime surge)

Homelessness, crime, dealing with criminals, advocating for police. I will not be punished. ’ That makes no sense, Jackie. “

A lululemon store in Peachtree, Georgia, also fired an employee in May after thwarting a thief at the store entrance. Lululemon CEO Calvin McDonald said in an interview on June 2 that employees are “trained” to tolerate theft because, at the end of the day, it’s just merchandise that’s being stolen.

“Democrats have given the image that this system, the criminal justice system, is racist. Systemically racist. So they’re afraid to take action against actual criminals. And I’ll tell you right now, this employee will have to resist what she actually believes, as you rightly stated. It doesn’t make sense, Jackie.”
