‘Epic Disaster’: Harris Surrogate Who Raised Millions Speaks Out After Kamala’s Campaign ‘Misled’ Her

Lindy Lee, the surrogate who raised millions of dollars for Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign, said on Fox News on Saturday that Harris’ campaign had “misled” her.

Lee told Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Will Kaine that Harris’ loss to Republican President-elect Donald Trump was an “epic disaster.” He said expectations motivated him to provide the large sum of money.

“This is just an epic disaster. This is a billion-dollar disaster,” Lee said, referring to the devastation of the defeated Harris campaign. exceeded $1 billion They struggled to raise funds and ended up racking up millions of dollars in debt.

“It’s unbelievable, and I raised millions of dollars for it. I have friends who have to take responsibility and explain what happened because they said it was a race with a margin of error. It’s different,” she said.

Lee said Harris campaign chairwoman Jen O’Malley Dillon has promised to elect all of Harris’ surrogates for vice president and even released a video to clarify her message.

“I believed in her. My daughters believed in her. So they wrote a huge check,” Lee told the Fox News co-hosts. “I feel like a lot of us were misunderstood.”

Mr. Dillon distributed a memo to his campaign staff around 11 p.m. Tuesday, the night of the election, asking them to “get some sleep.”

“What we saw in the press was a lot of conspiracies. People were leaking information all the time. The White House was leaking like a sieve when it came to Kamala Harris,” Lee said.

“In her later years, there was a lot of turnover, so she was able to stabilize and stop the bleeding in the staff. And then we saw the press about it. And then things finally started to calm down.”

Lee said he believes President Joe Biden’s immediate endorsement of Harris was an expression of anger at Democrats.

“Kamala Harris wasn’t at the top of the ticket,” Lee said. “Biden’s endorsement of Harris caught many people off guard, even the party’s top Democrats.”
