Erik Hite Foundation to mark 15 years since slain officer’s death

Tucson, Ariz. (KGUN) – The Eric Haidt Foundation is soliciting public donations to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the death of Tucson Police Officer Eric Haidt.

On June 2, 2008, Constable Hite was shot dead while pursuing the suspected shooter of the Pima County Sheriff’s Deputy.

It was started by his wife, Nochemy Haidt. Eric Haidt Foundation To his credit for supporting first responders and military families. Constable Haidt served four years with the TPD, and prior to that he served in the U.S. Air Force.

The nonprofit has helped create several programs over the years, including the Center for Private Childcare Development in 2011.

The foundation is soliciting donations of $15 each through June 30 through its website. erikhitefoundation.org.
