Today is day 16 of the Yavapai Silent Witness “Catch 22” program. Today we will focus on the search for 37-year-old Jonathan Sterling Mansfield. Between September 9 and 15, 2018, Mansfield stole a vehicle from a UHAUL store in Sedona. On September 15, Cottonwood police found a UHAUL truck towing a trailer in the Main Street and Cochise Street area of Cottonwood. Officers witnessed Mansfield hitting the woman several times in the head. Police pulled over and Mansfield fled on foot. He was taken into custody and charged with assault and motor vehicle theft. Mansfield was convicted, but then he violated probation. He is a white male, 6 feet tall, weighs 170 pounds, has brown hair and blue eyes. His last address was Eastlake, Ohio. A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.
