Rickie Fowler kept things positive after winning the Rocket Mortgage Classic at the Detroit Golf Club on Sunday, ending his four-year streak.
“It’s really hard to put it all into words. Honestly, I’ve had a lot of good things this year. I was playing really good golf, so I knew it was just a matter of time how my game would turn out.” fowler Said When asked what winning means to him, CBS replied:
“We had some tough weekends, but we still had our chances. U.S. Open, no results. But at the end of the day, let’s hug her and spend time with my wife, Maya.” he continued.
“Yeah, it’s nice to win, but there’s so much more in life.”

Detroit golf Last weekend the club was filled with a sea of oranges cheering for Fowler of the Detroit Free Press report. Fowler won after a fierce competition Colin Morikawa and Adam Haswin all tied for an impressive 24-under after four rounds. Fowler won his first victory with a birdie on the par 4 18th. PGA First tour win since 2019.
“He’s been playing great golf,” Morikawa told the Detroit Free Press. “This is not a one-time thing. He’s playing phenomenal golf and it’s great to see. I’m here to see him and he’s playing well.”
“I wanted to thank all the fans,” Fowler said, according to local media. “You guys were amazing. I felt the energy all week. Thank you for all the support. You guys were with me all the time.”
