Things you need to know
Whitney and Connor Leavitt have been married since 2016 and are parents to three children.
Their first son, Sedona, arrived in 2019, followed by Liam in 2021 and Billie Jean in 2024.
In 2025, Whitney shared during the competition Dancing with the Stars that her kids help keep her motivated, even on the “roughest” days.
Whitney Leavitt expressed how motherhood has influenced her passion for dance. “I used to be the girl on stage waving to parents in the audience, and now I get to pursue my dreams while being watched by my children,” she explained during an interview in September 2025.
Before joining Season 34 of the ABC dance competition, Whitney gained popularity from her viral TikTok dances and her role in Hulu’s reality series, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Now, she and Connor have settled into family life with their three kids.
Sedona was born in November 2019, and two years later, in December 2021, Liam joined the family, followed by Billie Jean in October 2024. “It’s wonderful to finally have our family complete,” Whitney shared with one outlet, adding, “We’ve always wanted three children, and I’m thrilled they’re all here now.”
Here’s a closer look at Whitney Leavitt’s children: Sedona, Liam, and Billie Jean.
Sedona Leavitt, 5 years old
Sedona, the firstborn, came into the world in November 2019. In May 2025, Whitney revealed on Vulture that she announced Sedona’s pregnancy on TikTok.
Since then, Sedona has taken a keen interest in her mom’s video production. Reports say that Whitney found new videos from Sedona capturing precious moments with baby Billie.
During Whitney’s rehearsal for DWTS, Sedona got involved, often watching her mom practice. Connor shared footage of Sedona preparing dance shoes and expressing her ambition to be a Dancing with the Stars competitor one day.
Not long after, Whitney excitedly informed that Sedona would be watching her live during Disney night on DWTS. “She definitely aspires for me to be a Disney princess—she’s my little princess,” Whitney chuckled in an interview.
Liam Leavitt, 3 years old
Born in December 2021, Liam arrived with some health challenges; shortly after his birth, he was diagnosed with the Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). At that time, Whitney faced criticism when she shared a TikTok dance next to her son in the NICU.
It was a difficult situation for her. She reflected in January 2022 on the backlash, stating she felt overwhelmed by the reaction and ended up removing the video.
In June 2025, she addressed the controversy in an interview, emphasizing that she understood the concerns but pointed out that Liam was recovering well when she made the video.
Liam frequently features on Whitney’s social media. In October 2025, Whitney shared family moments from their fun day at Disneyland alongside her DWTS partner, Mark Ballas.
Billie Jean Leavitt
The couple welcomed their third child, Billie, on October 24, 2024. They mentioned to one outlet that Billie’s name was decided before her birth, a departure from their customary practice with their first two kids.
“We usually wait to name our kids until we see them, but Billy’s name clicked with us right away,” Whitney explained. She found the name’s gender neutrality comforting, especially as they didn’t know the baby’s sex until birth.
Following Billie’s arrival, Whitney said that both Liam and Sedona were eager to meet their new baby brother.
Whitney had previously made waves by revealing her pregnancy in September 2024 with a unique announcement involving a cake. She clarified afterward that she had removed the pregnancy tests before embedding them in the dessert.
