EXCLUSIVE: Peter Navarro Reveals The Real Plan Behind Trump’s New Tariffs

Top trade adviser Peter Navarro explained in an exclusive interview with President Donald Trump’s fee philosophy and Daily Coleler, saying the president is trying to take action against the US fatal fentanyl crisis in Mexico, Canada and China.

China is the main provider of highly addictive and deadly drugs for the cartel, so all three countries play an important role in fentanyl trafficking.

“The fundamental problem is that it is a Super Bowl-sized group of Americans, each year from communist China, and dies towards the veins and stomachs of Americans, via Mexican and Canadian drug cartels.

Just a few days after his second term, President Donald Trump shook his American neighbours north and south with a major tariff threat. The administration said it would hit Mexico and Canada with 25% tariffs and China, with a 10% tariff on February 4th and mutual tariff clauses.

Slow concessions were made by Mexico and Canada 13 hours before the tariffs came into effect. Both agreed to a variety of border initiatives, including breaking the cartel that drives fentanyl to the US, and Trump decided to suspend tariffs for a month.

However, the month has increased, tariffs are now in effect, and Trump has doubled the tariffs on billed imports from China.

Prior to the February tariff deadline, Mexican President Claudia Sinbaum agreed to send 10,000 soldiers to the border. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has similarly announced new border measures, including designation of the cartel as a terrorist organization.

Left-wing media reported the deal as Trump’s losses, and the president saw them as positive developments. Navarro also challenged the framing that either country in the two countries “cave” Trump’s demands. Rather, he said that the US is asking a very simple question that Mexico and Canada should be willing to follow.

“The only thing we’re asking to make for a good ally is to stop killing Americans. If you frame it that way, this is the most reasonable thing in the world,” Navarro told the caller.

US President Donald Trump asked questions from reporters after signing a series of executive orders, including a 25% tariff on steel and aluminum, a pardon for former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevic, an order related to the Foreign Corruption Practices Act, and an order that the federal government will stop using paper straws and begin using white house plastic straws for paper white occupations Oval House on 2025. Trump’s tariffs on Mexico, Canada and China were just the beginning. Since then, the president has shown that European countries could also face 25% tariffs on exports. Trump suggested that there should be separate tariffs on cars, computer chips and medicines along with mutual tariffs. Trump has also directed the administration to consider possible tariffs on copper imports. Amid the gust of the tariff announcement, Navarro said Trump called for “certainly” to “certainly” have a vision that the country will return to its pre-income tax day, which was primarily funded by tariffs.

“It’s just a short time from Alexander Hamilton’s playbook,” Navarro told the caller.

“This is what President Trump wants and is a fundamental restructuring of the global trade environment so that America is no longer plundered and enjoys the prosperity and security of our people. Tariffs are an important way to drive that forward,” Navarro said. He added that if Americans start producing goods from their homes, Trump emphasizes the removal of tariffs.

Navarro even explained to CNN on Monday that Americans would save billions of dollars under Trump’s mutual tariff plan. Navarro explained that mutual tariff policies require states to drop tariffs on US products, while also reducing non-tariff barriers to American workers and businesses. Second, American manufacturing can get better shots in competition with foreign companies and ultimately make more money.

“President Trump adopted the doctrine of mutual trade if the country hits higher trade and regulatory barriers and taxpayers. We use the tools of mutual tariffs to get back what they took from us. It’s the most equitable thing in the world,” Navarro said.

“It’s not a left-to-right issue, it’s an American issue,” he added.

Navarro also argued that American companies face tariffs on exports, making them less profitable. It is a larger percentage of the tax burden that the federal government can tax and therefore falls on individual Americans rather than businesses.

However, Navarro acknowledged that the administration was not trying to use tariffs as a protectionist industrial policy in the end.

“With tariffs, we take light hands. This is not a government that raises our industrial policy hand,” Navarro explained.
