According to an exclusive statement given to the Daily Caller News Foundation, Carter has urged Ossoff and Warnock to support the law and lead the women’s sports bill to President Donald Trump’s desk. The bill passed the House, primarily along the party line, with 206 Democrats voting “no” in the January law.

“Every woman and girl deserves a fair opportunity to achieve athletic excellence,” Carter told DCNF. “I am asking Senators Warnock and Ossoff to protect female athletes by standing with the people of Georgia and helping to protect women and girls in sports law.”
According to the bill, the law prohibits biological male athletes from participating in academic athletic events designated for female athletes.
