Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz plans to endorse U.S. House candidate Brandon Gill in Congress Monday night, The Daily Caller first learned.
Mr. Gill is running for Texas' 26th Congressional District. approved Former President Donald Trump announced it in December. Mr. Gill is participating in a crowded primary race for Republican Rep. Michael Burgess' seat. Cruz said Gill stands out from other candidates and is the perfect person for the job.
“Brandon Gill has all the best Texan traits: dedicated, hardworking, and resilient. Brandon Gill has a deep understanding of what it means to fight the left and the corrupt mainstream media. , who stands out from other candidates and is best qualified to fight the radical left and its disastrous policies in Congress,” Cruz told the Caller.

Mr. Gill responded to Mr. Cruz's support, telling the caller: “Senator Cruz is an outstanding congressman, a leader in the conservative movement, and a hero to all freedom-loving Texans.
