The government’s Watchdog Group filed an ethics complaint on Friday against a former Biden White House official sitting on the board of directors of a green organization chosen to receive billions of dollars in taxpayer dollars from the Biden Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Protecting National Trusts (PPT) alleges that David Hayes, a Democrat insider who worked as an environmental advisor at the Biden White House, is complaining that he may be violating ethics rules. re-Joining In 2023, the Green Capital Union (CGC) board filed a similar complaint in June 2024 highlighting many of the same concerns, as the Biden administration had applied for the billions of EPA dollars that it ultimately awarded to the organization. It has been revealed ever since.
“The Green Capital coalition has shoveled $5 billion to previous employers since multiple employees left the organization and joined the Biden White House. The organization’s actions illustrate the self-dealing that can be found throughout the Biden EPA’s “goldbar” scheme,” EPA administrator Lee Zeldin said in a statement shared with the Daily Caller News Foundation. “The Biden administration has taken intentional action by giving the organization billions of dollars to clear conflicts of interest, unnecessary intermediaries and unqualified recipients, while significantly reducing government oversight. Funds are now frozen. [Department of Justice] The FBI is investigating. ” (Related: Trump EPA introduces the $20 billion Biden Slash Fund to its agency’s internal watchdog)

DCNF first reported in November 2023 that GGRF competitors, including CGC, were rumoured to have Democrats and donors, and have since continued to cover the program.
Zeldin frequently refers to the public comments about GGRF video From a conservative activist group project, a former Biden EPA official compared the agency’s rush to withdraw GGRF dollars to “throw away from the Titanic” while being secretly documented by activists from the secret project Veritas.
after that Report Jahi Wise, a Biden EPA official who oversees the program from free beacons and now works for George Soros’ Charitable Foundation, discovered that he previously worked at CGC. The CGC declined to comment on the story.
“This is why we call this program “Greendoggle.” That’s something we and the Daily Caller News Foundation have been warning for years,” PPT executive director Michael Chamberlain told DCNF. “The Biden EPA was constantly spinning the doors between activist groups and the climate industry. If they kill such an agency for $20 billion without integrating more robust surveillance, that money could become a slash fund for insiders. Then (surprise! Surprise!) the organization he was in before and after the stint at the Biden White House won billions of dollars from one of the Inflation Reduction Act’s climate programs. It’s hard to see how wet.”
The PPT complaint specifically argues that Hayes may have violated its ethical obligation “to work on the creation of the GGRF” and that he may have potentially lost the influence of the peddler if he left the White House and continued to contact officials in the Biden administration who appear to have used public services for private interest.
“Hayes’ opticsThe entrance to the Biden administration and the departure from that The PPT complaint states. “Mr. Hayes left the CGC board for a relatively short stint at the White House; Probably worked at the highest level in the GGRF programme CGC asked for. Funding after he returned to Japan. This timing is questionable given that the CGC itself has made public announcements to him. He will return to its board as part of his efforts to secure funding for GGRF. ”
