Lizzy Musi, the famed drag racer and reality star of the show “Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings,” has died at the age of 33 after a battle with breast cancer.
Her father, Pat Musi, announced her death in a very short message. Facebook, June 28. “May you grant us eternal grace, peace and prayers,” he wrote in the caption. He reposted a black-and-white photo of his beloved daughter, originally shared by Drag Illustrated. The racing magazine wrote, “Beloved drag racing star Lizzy Muzi has passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. A longtime friend of the DI family, she was an inspiration to many through her battle on and off the track,” adding, “Our deepest condolences go to Lizzy's family and friends.”
Close family members reported that Lizzie died Thursday at her home in North Carolina after battling breast cancer for several years and doing everything she could to beat the disease. TMZ.
Musi was a beloved member of the auto racing community, appearing on Discovery's Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings. She rose to fame in 2018 when the popular show, which follows the lives and sportsmanship of drag racers, first aired. Musi appeared on the show alongside her father, who is also a car enthusiast and drag racer. According to TMZ, Pat was an eight-time PDRA Pro Street World Champion and shared the same passion as his daughter.
According to TMZ, Musi is a talented and skilled driver who made history by becoming the first woman to win the “No Prep Kings” event during the show's second season.
It's unclear when she was diagnosed with breast cancer, but she first revealed her diagnosis to fans in 2023. By that point, she told friends, the cancer had already spread to her lymph nodes and liver.
