And this was…a banana.
On Wednesday night, the No. 5 Tennessee Volunteers took on the Mississippi State Bulldogs in an SEC rivalry contest, and while it may have initially sounded like an easy win, the Bulldogs ended up falling to the Vols in Starkville. It shocked me. 77-72a huge upset.
If that's not interesting enough, there's also the game's other action, Bananaman. (Related article: No. 1 Purdue loses 88-72 upset to Nebraska, Cornhuskers' first win over a top-ranked team in 41 years)
The problem is that the police quickly ruined Bananaman's appearance.
With just 0.1 points remaining in the second half, and the Bulldogs winning the game, a man in a banana suit (presumably a Mississippi State University student) came out to celebrate with his classmates. And while we may enjoy the sight, the police and security guards were having no such thing.

Bananaman's efforts are commendable, but it was all about security. It was a good opportunity to hurry, and there was no need to rush (security probably wouldn't let me anyway, sad). pic.twitter.com/dhWM89zRJf

Oh, hey. I get that security and police had to do their jobs, but I feel like they should have let Bananaman celebrate. But at the same time, this could potentially be a scene from Grand Theft Auto.
If you've played GTA, you already know what I mean. Without getting too graphic, imagine he's on a plane, two guys are wearing banana suits, and the pilot is one of his basketball players.
Well… I get why the police and security had to do their job, but hey, a banana celebration would be pretty awesome.
